At the young age of 4, Mrs. Anabelle realized her passion for dance and ballet. In order to become proficient at ballet, one must be extremely dedicated to the art and diligence of practice and rehearsal time. During her childhood years, she was consumed by the disciplined lifestyle of ballet and followed this through with determination.
What transpired is a lifetime dedication to the beauty of ballet. Throughout her years of study as a young adult, the dream to teach was ruminating within her mind, body, and soul. Her devotion to the art of ballet and commitment to her students is the foundation of the very heart of Bella Academy. She can’t remember a time when she wasn’t fueled by this focus for her three loves: teaching, children, and ballet. She feels blessed to be able to have a thriving career made up of all three!

Mrs. Anabelle (Royal Ballet School Affiliate Teacher, RTS RAD, Affiliate and Fellow of the American ABT NTC) is a professionally trained ballerina and accredited teacher with the Royal Ballet School, London, the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), London, and American Ballet Theatre (ABT), New York.
She is India’s first and only ABT Certified Teacher, having successfully completed all levels of the ABT Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 7 of the ABT National Training Curriculum, New York. She is qualified to present students for RAD examinations up to the highest level, from Pre-Primary to Advanced 2, in which she herself has achieved Distinction.
In addition, Mrs. Anabelle has completed the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) Modern Dance examinations, is qualified to teach Rambert Grades—a contemporary syllabus recognised by Ofqual—and has earned the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Jazz Awards with Honours.
In 2024, Anabelle was officially appointed as an Examiner by the American Ballet Theatre Board of Examiners, one of the most revered institutions in the world of classical ballet. This extraordinary honour, awarded to only a select group of seasoned professionals worldwide, recognises not only her technical mastery but also her lifelong commitment to ballet education, mentorship, and artistic integrity.

Jane Lawton has studied at The Royal Ballet School of London in the fields of Classical Ballet, Repertoire, Classical Mime, Character, Make-up, Classical Analysis, Anatomy applied to Dance, Child Psychology, and Benesh Notation.
Her talent, keen enthusiasm, and extensive repertoire have led her to work as a choreographer alongside Leonard Massine, creator of the world’s first symphonic ballet, Les Présages, and many others in the same vein.
Lawton is a Registered Teacher, Life Member, Tutor, and ex-examiner of the Royal Academy of Dance, as well as Licentiate Cecchetti, Associate Modern, Tap, Natural Movement, and National Dance at Advanced Level.
David Peden
Instructor
David Peden was trained at the Royal Ballet School from the age of thirteen and subsequently joined the Royal Ballet Company, becoming a Senior Soloist, where he danced many principal roles.
Peden also performed with the National Ballet of Canada as a first soloist, Pacific Northwest Ballet, British Ballet Columbia, and English National Ballet.
Lisa Edwards
Pilates Movement Therapist
Lisa began her training at the age of 5 in her hometown of Dubbo. After graduating from the Australian Ballet School in 1999 with an Advanced Diploma of Dance Lisa moved to Europe and danced with The Stadttheater St Gallen Switzerland, Anhaltishches Theater Dessau, and Koblenz Stadttheater in Germany. Touring throughout Europe and Cuba.
In 2004 Lisa moved back to Australia and joined the Queensland Ballet. Lisa was promoted to Soloist in 2013 and Senior Soloist in 2016. During her time with QB Lisa performed many Principal and Soloist roles locally and internationally, was named dancer to watch, and was the recipient of 2016 Dream Festival artist of the year. Lisa has played an active part in teaching in QB’s Education programs and also obtained her Diploma of Pilates movement therapy in 2017. Lisa retired from the stage at the end of 2018 after an 18-year career.
Louise Drysdale
Dance Physiotherapist

Louise is a physiotherapist to Queensland Ballet and Queensland Ballet Academy, as well as other touring performances and dancers of all ages and levels. Louise has also worked in musculoskeletal private practice for eight years and has a specific interest in prevention, early diagnosis and rehabilitation of bone stress injuries.
Louise holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (University of Queensland), Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (LaTrobe, Melbourne) and is a Masters of Medical Research Candidate (Griffith University), where her research passion is bone health in classical ballet dancers.
She is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science and the Australian Society for Performing Arts Healthcare.
Katarina Hazel
Stretch Coach
At the tender age of five, young Katarina had already stumbled upon her passion for ballet, dance, and rhythmic gymnastics, and she didn't hold back from pursuing it straight from the beginning! Her curiosity and drive sure paid off. Soon enough, the German-Slavic native became a top-performing athlete and the number one Slovakian rhythmic gymnast, representing Slovakia at numerous international championships.
Over time, Katarina swapped one career for another. She became a professional dancer, joining a renowned dance theater company and accepting one of the two desired study places at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Bratislava, studying Choreography.
After watching her first Musical, she fell in love with the idea of becoming a musical performer and pursued this dream by moving to Germany and studying at the Stage School Hamburg.
Qualification
Katarina successfully finished both of her studies, became a Master of Arts in Choreography, and enjoyed ten years of her Musical Career performing on various musical stages all over Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Her latest aspiration and a lifelong love for dance and movement redirected her path to become a dance instructor, personal trainer, stretch coach, and the proud founder of her unique program, STRETCHILATES.

Amanda Paterson
Affiliate Teacher and Examiner for American Ballet Theatre® National Training Curriculum,. Amanda Paterson received her early training at the Oakville School of Dance and later graduated from Canada’s National Ballet School’s full-time Professional Training Programme. While at NBS, she studied with esteemed teachers such as Eric Bruhn, Betty Oliphant, Glenn Gilmour, Lyn Wallis, Daniel Sellier, and Carole Chadwick.
Paterson has performed with the National Ballet of Canada, Ballet Nacional de Cuba, and the Elizabeth Paterson Dance Company.
As Artistic Director of Oakville School of Classical Ballet, Paterson has produced over 80 productions at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts, including a full-length Nutcracker for the past 20 years.
Her vision for Oakville Ballet is to produce 3-4 productions each season, featuring the students from the Oakville School of Classical Ballet and invited guest artists.
Emily Koschyk
Royal Academy
Emily trained at London College of Dance and Drama in Bedford and graduated with Distinction in Teaching Studies. In 1988 she moved to Germany and taught in various schools around the country before opening her own school in 1998. At this time, she also led a full-time teacher training programme, from which many young teachers successfully graduated. In 2020 Emily relocated back to the south of England and now teaches on a freelance basis. She conducts workshops and teaches at various summer schools in Europe. Since its inception in 2004, Emily has been a tutor for a number of modules of the Royal Academy of Dance CBTS and also tutors
Maria Khoreva
